Konami and NeoBards Entertainment have announced that Silent Hill f will launch on September 25 for PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store. Pre-orders are available now.

What to expect from Silent Hill f

The game puts you in the shoes of Shimizu Hinako, a high schooler from Ebisugaoka. The town becomes covered in thick fog and turns nightmarish. You explore, solve puzzles, and fight to survive. Your choices will decide Hinako’s fate — will she find beauty or fall into madness?

The development focused on “finding the beauty in terror,” which is clear in four parts:

  • An authentic 1960s Japan setting, detailed especially in 4K
  • Visuals and music blending beauty and horror, with monsters designed by artist Kera and a soundtrack by Akira Yamaoka and Kensuke Inage
  • Puzzles tied to psychological suffering and Japanese culture, written by Ryukishi07, including haunting scarecrow scenes
  • Unique melee-focused combat that is more action-oriented than last year’s Silent Hill 2

Silent Hill f is a standalone spinoff, so it’s accessible to newcomers while including Easter eggs for longtime fans. It keeps the psychological horror core of the series intact.
